Sing and Play is a free, drop-in, parent-toddler program focusing on discovering new experiences and building skills through fun, age appropriate activities.

  • Listening and following directions…through finger plays, read-alouds, sing-alongs, following the leader and other teacher-led activities, the children will begin to develop the skills that will help them prepare for preschool.
  • Developing fine and large motor skills…while using fun props such as scarves, shakers, hula hoops, tunnels, balls, parachutes and more, the children will exercise these motor skills in a fun and controlled environment.
  • Social interaction…sharing, taking turns, discovering the friends around us and how we work together are all important milestones that each child must achieve. The class is an opportunity to interact with other children and begin the discovery process.
  • Fostering a love of music…some elements we will be discovering are different styles of music, moving to music, and listening to rhythm. Through these activities, we will focus on fostering a love of music within each child.
  • Learning that they are a child of God…through songs, stories, finger plays and so much more, the children will continue to hear of their Heavenly Father’s love for them, helping to create the foundation of a strong faith in their Savior.

Immanuel believes that parents are the children’s primary teacher. This class is designed for parent and child interaction and cooperation, to build on the love between them. At this young age, this close bond is so very special and a unique gift from God to each family. The class objective is to utilize this gift and build on the abilities God has given each child.

Information about all of Immanuel's summer events and programming is available in the Summer Events Flyer.
